Our History
First Drop was founded by Grant and Julie Lawrence after two trips to Uganda. On the first trip, they adopted their son and made many amazing friends. During this trip, they met Dr. Timothy Ssemakula, who oversees the projects in Uganda. Two years later, on a return trip, they were introduced to the desperate need for clean water in the
First Drop was founded by Grant and Julie Lawrence after two trips to Uganda. On the first trip, they adopted their son and made many amazing friends. During this trip, they met Dr. Timothy Ssemakula, who oversees the projects in Uganda. Two years later, on a return trip, they were introduced to the desperate need for clean water in their son's village. After returning home and raising money from their church, family, and friends, they were able to send enough money to Uganda to build 3 wells in 3 different villages with the goal of building many more!

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide clean water to Ugandans by building water wells in villages where clean water is not accessible. We believe a healthy future begins with the first drop of clean water!
